Wildlife Filmmaking
Following looking into documentary filmmaking, as well as its history, which I will continue to do throughout my project. I then decided to research more pasifically into Wildlife Filmmaking as evidently this is what the main focus of my project is going to be on. For my research so far I mainly looked on the internet at various websites about nature documentaries/Wildlife filming.
The main points that I have learnt so far from looking on the internet are: the best way to plan your documentary and all the things you have to consider, a quote I found I feel explains wildlife filming well 'Wildlife and nature filming is unpredictable but the challenge is part of the fun'. I have understood that wildlife filmmaking is hard work, that requires a lot of time and patience and things will not go according to plan most of the time, as the quote clearly stays nature is unpredictable.
I found these power points on the 'educational resources' page on one of the websites that I was looking at. There were two sets of power points one on 'History of wildlife filmmaking' and the other on 'Ethics of wildlife filmmaking.' Like I have mentioned before I feel that when you learn the history of a subject, it is much easier to understand overall. I felt that these power points gave a much clearer insight into the history and ethics behind wildlife filmmaking.
