Animation - Story Board

Over the weekend we were told to come up with a story idea that could potentially be used in our group work. At the start of the week we all told each other our story ideas. However some group members hadn't finished their storyboards and after some discussion the group chose to focus on my story board. Please find below:

The idea for my story was about a little boy who wanted to explore the universe, one night he wishes on a start and it comes to life and takes him on a journey around all the planets. He befriends the moon, however it is time for the boy to go home as the adventure is only for a night. However before the stardust leaves he gives the boy some stardust so he cant return and visit. It was then decided to change the story so it had more of a struggle/something to overcome. After much discussion the final story was decided.

Story Idea:

A little boys father has died, being young he associates his dad with a star. One night he see's a shooting star and assumes that its his dad. He chases the start through the forest, until he reaches a pond, where the shooting star has landed. As he looks into the pond he see's his fathers reflection. The star then returns to the sky and the boy goes home with his mother. Although this is a very simplistic story, there is a deeper meaning as the boy is coming to terms with his fathers death. By seeing the reflection in the pond, he is realising that his father will always live on in someway through himself.
